Follow a Proven Strategy
Our sessions are designed to give you a clear roadmap of the recruiting process and answer the questions most parents face: Where do we start? What do coaches look for? How do scholarships work? What is my role, and what should be left to my child? By understanding the key steps and timelines, you’ll be better equipped to guide your student-athlete, reduce stress, and keep the process focused on finding the right academic and athletic fit.
Student-Athlete Success
The college recruiting process can feel overwhelming for both student-athletes and their families. Between eligibility requirements, campus visits, highlight reels, scholarship opportunities, and communication with coaches, there’s a lot to navigate—and every sport and school has its own unique expectations. As a parent, you play a crucial role in supporting your child’s journey while helping them balance academics, athletics, and personal growth.
Competing in college sports offers student-athletes a wide range of benefits that extend beyond the playing field. They gain access to educational opportunities such as scholarships, academic support, and structured time management, while also developing valuable life skills like discipline, resilience, leadership, and teamwork. Athletes maintain strong physical fitness and often have access to mental health resources, all while building confidence through competition. Participation also opens doors to career opportunities, networking, and lifelong connections with teammates, coaches, and alumni. Beyond personal growth, student-athletes enjoy a sense of community, school pride, and unique experiences that help shape both their college journey and their future success.

The Journey to Athlete Advantage Parent Consulting
How we became the premier advising service for parents with student-athletes aspiring to reach playing at the next level.

As the parents of two Division I NCAA athletes, we have done all the work before you by successfully navigating the intense recruiting journey. But, what makes our organization special and different from others out there is that we are not looking to automate your experience. You will be able to talk to real people, real parents who lived it and who are familiar with what parents and student-athletes will face. You will be able to receive premier personalized and customized consulting based on your family's situation as well as your athlete's strengths, needs, and dreams. We will get to know your family and your athlete and we will walk this path alongside you.
Strategy Development
Our vision for Athlete Advantage Parent Consulting started after struggling through the recruitment journey for our son, Lucas. At that time, it consisted of highlight video from game tape mixed over music and uploaded to social media accounts such as Instagram and X. Although that looked good and Lucas got notoriety from local scouts, parents, and friends, the opinions that mattered most were from coaching staffs at the college level, who he had minimal exposure to at the time. Adjusting the recruitment plan to a strategic effort improved his exposure and resulted in recruiting interest from multiple mid-high major Division I schools. Ultimately, Lucas received five NCAA Division I offers to play basketball. Based on what we learned, we initiated a strategic plan that we used for our daughter Gracie.
Real-Time Action Planning
A strategic plan was developed and adopted from learnings captured from Lucas's recruitment journey. The ability to navigate and adjust in real time helped lead our daughter, Gracie, to interest from well over 50 NCAA Division I volleyball programs, and resulted in many emails, texts, camp invitations, and scheduled phone calls (on June 15th) from multiple programs in the Power Four conferences. Ultimately, Gracie verbally committed to Vanderbilt University within hours of their offer on June 15th, the official date when coaches were allowed to contact Class of 2027 prospects.
